Bringing Tianzhou Chen’s immersive dark pop opera to a warehouse venue in the heart of Leeds. An ecstatic and immersive spectacle that is part club, part performance, part culture clash. The 14 strong cast and crew hailed from across the globe - Vietnam, Japan, China, France, Germany, USA. In order to support this production coming to Leeds, I succeeded in obtaining a Visa Sponsorship licence for Transform. Against all odds, including an air strike, Brexit nervousness, and working across language and time barriers, this vibrant international cast made their UK debut of the show that spellbound audiences.
